History And We

India, gaining its name from Indus river, is home to vast history. India always has been home to kings and knights, saints and yogis, wars and warfares, religious epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata and much more.

We, Indians have been part of this rich heritage from a long period starting from Indus Valley civilization, the most advanced civilization from the pre-historic period known for its drainage system to reaching the zenith of its glory in today's time.

What influence we have on our culture is only because of our history.

Evidence from the black period of history found in religious texts shows that our country was also home for great lords such as Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Lord Hanuman. The weapons used in the battle of Kurukshetra were of today's technology which shows how advanced we were in the past.

We have been known because of King Porus, whom Alexandra the Great befriended seeing his personality and greatness. We have a history related to great kings and knights such as Maharana Partap, Prithviraj Chauhan, Chandragupta Mauriya, Rani Lakshmibai, Shivaji and many more.

Along with our famous battles heroes we are also known for our rich heritage and culture which differentiate us from other countries. This culture has given us a special place in the world.

Our festivals and rituals are celebrated to promote good values such as Rakshabandhan to celebrate the bond between brother and sister, Diwali to celebrate the victory of good over evil, Ashtmi poojan to show care and affection towards girls and many more.

Our freedom fighters who were normal people just like Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, Lala Lajpat Rai fought like wild lions to spread the message that we will never let anyone enter into our country.

The advancement India has made after freedom like reaching Mars in the first attempt or preparing our weapons, all we have learnt from our rich history and we can proudly say that our history is our cultural heritage.
