Live-In Relationship

Whenever two people start datingand start being together, they discover a lot of things about each other. As per our Indian culture, when you both know that you love each other , the next step is marriage but what if they aren't compatible with each other after we can know about someone only when we start living with them. Live-in relationships for Indian society are mostly unacceptable, this is something which violates our culture. Get married and do whatever you wish, but before marriage, nothing.Live in relationships are mostly neglected because they are associated with sex only. But when two people live together, is it all about sex.

Even in marriages, people live together. But then it is considered pious but in life in, it's not. India is a country where still it is believed that we should spend our whole life with a single person no matter how you are being treated. So when divorce is such a big issue and live in isn't allowed, we almost tend to believe that marriages need to be perfect. But that's a rare case when marriages work perfectly. We give adults to choose what they want to do but only under some restrictions (marriage). Live in relationships help the partners to live together without any legal binding named marriage and to separate withoutlengthy court procedures. And even if they want to get separated, there's no family drama as well. If they want to break up, they can do it easily without any chaos. So if you are in a live-in relationship, you can live peacefully without any law tying you together and anyone can walk out if they wish to.Even after Live in relationships are legal in India, still, people have not accepted them openly as most of the people still condemn it. Their thinking is that it violates our Indian culture and isn't good for society. Do whatever you wish but after marriage. Society looks at the people living in life in relationships as if they are doing something wrong. They basically think of them as characterless people and for girls, the scenario gets even worse. They question their parents, their families or the way they have been raised.

And once a girl gets out of a live-in relationship, she is treated even worse. Though the law has granted rights for the girls living in life in relationships and they can fight for their rights as well but as live-in relationships are not so widely accepted hence, people don'tknow about it. Live in relationships aren't bad, it's just the thinking which needs to be changed
