The attack resulted in the deaths of 40 Central Reserve Force which held on 14 February 2019 convoy of vechiles carrying security personnel on the Jammu Srinagar National High way. When a jaish suicide bomber rammed a vechile carrying over 100 kg of explosures in to their bus in Pulwama district. The attack also left many critically wounded.
