Colours have a lot to say and mean. Right from childhood we have favourite shades but did we even realize what these colours try to tell us. Well here is my version of it.

Red: Many of us associate this colour with love and so do I. Red actually shows deep burning passion for something we love. It is in-fact the furious outcome of the most gentle thing called love. Now, that reminds me of the pain and blood too in the most purest form of love. The verse below will substantiate what I've said.

"When I think of red,
I remember the love I am fed
As she kisses my forehead
Every time she puts me to bed"

Yes, I've been talking about the love of a mother wherein she sheds blood while giving birth to us, transforms blood into milk and feeds us and what not. Now you know why the colour red is associated with Love...

Blue: This colour is a personal favourite of mine and let me tell you why. I associate this with childhood. As a child most of us love to spend time under the barren sky. This blue and empty sky gives us an open mind to think of any random thing in the world, smile with all the might and enjoy life to the fullest. (As a child I never wanted to be inside the house, Of all things playing outside was my only priority.)

"Just as I think of Blue
I remember the childhood that flew
It was hard for me to get through
From childhood to a life totally new"

Did that take you back to childhood? Well who even wants to grow up? Childhood is the most beautiful phase of my life.

Pink: It's a very cute colour. The colour of blush. So I call it the colour of infatuation and adolescence. Who has not had a crush. It's such a beautiful experience. We long, we smile openly but love secretly and think for hours about that one person until one fine day we find another crush. It's funny.

"When the color Pink
Is what I think
All I remember is her cute wink
Those memories that will never sink"

Will those memories even sink? Well I'm not sure but with every crush and infatuation there is for sure a behavioral change that others notice in us and we refuse to accept.

Green: It's a very straight but a confusing shade. Green talks about Nature while it's also a shade of greed. I feel this is the right shade to depict adulthood where there is a burden of responsibility with a tinge of greed. It shows the stage when we become eager but not ready for the future.

"When I think of the color green
I remember the times I was keen
To know the future that is still unseen
For the past is from will be to has been"

I told you it's a confusing colour which makes you think to bridge the gap between the present and the past.

Colors have a lot to say and mean if only you could read colours, you will know how vibrant our life can be.
