A sedentary lifestyle is a type of lifestyle involving little or no physical activity .A person living a sedentary lifestyle is often sitting or lying down while engaged in an activity like reading ,socializing ,watching television ,playing vediogames or using a mobile phone/computer for much of the day . A sedentary lifestyle can potentially contribute to ill health and many preventalble causes of death.
A highly competitive workspace ,hovering deadlines and a pressure cooker like environment are realities of our time. Our highly connected lifestyles have magnified work stress with long working hours , disturbed sleeping patterns , and lack of relaxation.
Resultantly , most working professionals today are stressed and suffer from symptoms such as backache ,neckpain ,headaches ,etc. The resultant stress not only causes chronic disease like hypertension , it also becomes a reason for declining productivity and falling rates in organizations . Additionally , organizations also suffers from loss of millions of working days due to stress related illness.
Life today has become fast and lifestyle changes have made people addicted to food and etables that can be readily made. Fast food is the named coined for such food items which are either precooked or can be cooked in lesser time than regular food. Fast food have several side effects like decrease in energy levels , sleep disorders ,drowsiness ,less ability to concentrate on work ,obesity. Junk food has excess of oil and calories and is not easy to digest.
There are cut throat competitions in the market and the bestest competition will win the race. It causes more time using mobile phones. Using mobiles for prolonged time have bad impact on eyes as cell phone radiation exposure on eyes can damage the eyes .
People do astounting things for money ;they subject themselves to heinous conditions ,participate in the most degrading circumstances and waste their most precious resource ,time in the persuit of it. Money or a greed. Physiologically it shackles us and forces us to make irrational decisions.

• Take the stairs instead of elevator .
• If possible walk or bite to work.

• Take a short walk-break from work.
• Do your own yard work.
• Play with your kids.
• Put on your favourite music and dance.
• While watching television ,pace or stretch.
• Choose to walk down instead of call or e-mail.
