Netflix is releasing yet another gripping and engrossing plot for its hooked audience called Leila. Well, the series is not as simple as its name goes. In the future, where purity is law, this is the story of one woman standing up to resist the nightmare. The only thing driving her to go through the depths of hell is her daughter, Leila.

Leila is definitely a very intense series which is releasing on 14th June 2019. Leilais an upcoming Indian dystopian drama web televisionseries directed by Deepa Mehta, Shanker Raman, and Pawan Kumar.Based on the2017 novelby Prayaag Akbar,Leilafollows the story of Shalini, who tries to find her missing daughter in a totalitarian region in the near future. Written by Urmi Juvekar, it will star Huma Qureshi, Siddharth, Rahul Khanna, Sanjay Suri, and Arif Zakaria.

The six-episode series follows Shalini (Huma), a mother in search of her daughter Leila whom she lost one tragic summer. Shalini deals with various hardships in the course of her search, in a story of longing, faith, and loss.

The series contains a message a sense of patriotism for the audience. The main protagonist Shalini, whose unique mix of strength, grace, and optimism is what gets her through all kinds of obstacles. The character of Shalini looking for her daughter Leila is actually quite challenging and important to get into for the series to be a success. Also, to prepare for the role of Shalini, Qureshi went through physical training because the role is intense and demanding.

All in all, it can be said that Leila, unlike any other normal jolly Netflix series, is quite intense, dark and gripping series which has huge chances of success and controversy as well.
