Knowledge Above Language--Pay A Heed.

A schism has existed between mythology and science all over the world since a long period of time. In India we can see it's all over the land as a constant nudge. A lot of revolutionary ideas have been bestowed upon us like the green Revolution and The White Revolution which have helped in eradicating local poverty to agreat extent.

But this source of blessing has been wound up by many threads. The thickest of those is the language. thepious drops of knowledge is unable to be shared upon the needy just because it has been obstructed by the barriers of language. This seems unfair. A vast ocean of knowledge exists in English and other forms of language but only a part of it in Hindi can be delivered to Indian ruralstudents. The stats show the worst of figures here.

The stats show similar huge differences when topic is books on different languages. There arevery few books of knowledge written in Hindi rather than English or German or Chinese. This has led to a bad and false impression that Indian society does not have any desire for knowledge and that they live in a world where knowledge is not invited at all.

This leads to an unwanted condition of uncultivated inner potential and unrealised outward opportunity. Ths is the only reason that our culture, our history comprising of the ram raj,devoid of any pyramids and dinosaurs,but of yakshas, demons and demigods are not known to any other then our only kids. There is a need to bring up a body which makes our history and language flourish so that it can mingle with the knowledge of the world. Also knowledge in India is often confined to “science”, “ scientists “ and “science students” who themselves have confined themselves to the brick and stone walls of the universities, schools and laboratory. They show very less care to spread the outlook of science, it’s comfortable behaviour and its progressive encroachment among people, among the needy ones.

So,creating a literature body with a new outlook of learning in so many languages in a meaningful duration of time would be nothing but a miracle to occur. Initiatives should be taken to provide education by various institution in rural and native languages , in terms,to children. It can be a modification of PURA mission of Abdul Kalam,which focused on providing a lot of benefits to the rural areas among which knowledge was one of them. Small initiative has been taken up by the students at IIT Madras where books of science are sent freely to rural areas, the financial help being provided by the students themselves. When this dream of knowledge comes true , the energy and the creativity that will flourish will be an undefined and an unexpected one in the human history.
