Rainy days were always my favourite. I love to drench in the drizzling drops of rains. I still remember it was in the month of monsoon when we first talked. He called me from distant- Hey! “You are drenching in the rain without me?” I was shocked. That boy never talked to anyone before.

He was a boy from my tuitions; he was very shy in nature and doesn’t like to mix up with others. That night, it was raining heavily, strong winds were blowing. My umbrella got broken, and that boy gave me his umbrella. I asked him to get inside that umbrella, otherwise he would catch cold. My love for rains is next only to my love for life. The smell of soil after the first downpour, the sound of the rain falling over the tiled roofs and fishing in those tiny ponds came alive during the monsoon seemed so unreal today. He asked me to drop home in his car but I refused, as I wanted to enjoy the rains.

He said he would accompany me and we both were walking side by side as he said he would drop me home after the walk. When I looked at him, his eyes dropped down, his heart-started beating fast and it was so loud that even I could hear it. On our way, he proposed me in the most romantic way, one can ever imagined.

I had a crush on that boy but could not talk to him, as he was very shy and never talked to anyone. I was numb at that moment. He said there is no hurry, you can take your time and say. We were walking; I never came so close to anyone. I could smell his perfume and I kept looking at him from the corner of my eyes. As, he has thrown the umbrella we both were wet. Moreover, I started shivering a little.

He said there is a small tea stall nearby, so we could have tea there. When we got there, he has arranged a small surprise for me there. It was not that big shop, rather it was a tapri. It had some couples of chairs and tables thrown around. And it was a hut.

So beautifully, he has decorated that place that I could not resist and said “Yes” the very moment I saw it. He was so happy. It was the most memorable night of my life. Our love story was witnessed by darkening sky with lavender clouds in it, hiding the first stars of the night. It felt like the nature was even trying to unite us. After a while, we walked to my house. The two introverts (us) waiting for each other to break silence but nature was not in their favour. A sudden thunder back ‘em both to the planet and finally raj broke the silence and spoke.

It was little awkward for both of us for the conversation.

At last, without speaking a word we hugged each other and went to our respective houses.
