Maybe if the sky were higher,
Bigger, maybe if I could reach farther
Maybe if I could fly a bit faster,
Braver, maybe if I could reach further
Maybe if I flew brisker, better
Maybe I could, but white clouds clutter
Their face is all I see, white and bright
But without warning, they turn grey
With unresolved problems, unresolved feelings
They hurl rain drops, snow balls
My tears mingle with them, but they
Glisten to the clouds
Hidden diamonds in the rough
Or maybe the other way around
Thunder grows as does my fear
Let me rest in a tree before tomorrow
I can still hear the rain,
I can still feel the wetness
Is it my tears and pain?
I can still feel no matter how much i try
Let me close my eyes
The storm’s calm
And the wind sings
Maybe if you could fly faster
I wish I were, I wish I could
And maybe I can
Maybe if the sky were higher
Maybe if I could reach further
Maybe if I could wake up and realize
The problem is not you, not Mother,
Not Father but me.
I am my problem.
