Why This Keyboard??

Do you know the keyboard we use is not perfect for us? Hey guys, welcome to my 12^th article and in this read we will discuss about the keyboards. Don’t think that you will find any kind of funky keyboard themes in this article.

So let’s start…..

Imagine a scenario; you have to chat on phone for almost 3-4 hours to the girl you want to impress and for this task you have to tick the boxes of these requirements:-

1. Typing speed- reply must be on time right!

2. Auto-correction & word suggestion- there should be no spelling mistake.

3. No pain, no success- there may be a possibility that you have to chat for 5-6 hours.

So is our keyboard fulfilling all the above requirements??

Qwerty

The keyboard we use is QWERTY keyboard. Why you use this keyboard? Because all of your friends use this keyboard, your parents, your teachers, everyone use this keyboard right! But is this keyboard is perfect for us?

No

this keyboard is designed in 1870 for the type-writers, and after 150 years we still use this keyboard. In this keyboard the most used keywords are situated far from each other, that’s it. There are no more advantages or features of this keyboard but why we still use this keyboard? Because we had always seen this keyboard everywhere. But in present scenario, we don’t use type-writers, in-fact we all use smart phones and laptops. So is this keyboard is still the best for us?

Dvorak

In Guinness book of world record, the fastest typing record is hold by Barbara Blackburn, she typed for 50 minutes with her top speed as 212 words per minutes. Fascinating thing is that she doesn’t make this record on the QWERTY keyboard; she made this world record on a keyboard named as DVORAK keyboard. This DVORAK keyboard is not some scientific kind of thing, this is a normal keyboard that we all have in our cell phone, and you can check it on the settings of your phone. But wait, why DVORAK? Because this keyboard is made on the basis of use of keywords and the moments of our fingers. Scienst August Dvorak made this keyboard after many years of his study on moments and use of keywords. But we still use the QWERTY keyboards because the DVORAK keyboard becomes late for us. In every school, college only QWERTY keyboard is present and there is no high publicity of DVORAK keyboard that’s why we still use QWERTY. But due to its efficiency and quality, DVORAK is present in every operating system.

Wait there is one more thing, this DVORAK keyboard is only perfect for laptops and computers where we use all fingers but for the cell phones there is one more keyboard and believe me it’s just perfect for phones. The Messagese keyboard, this keyboard is specially designed for chatting in small screen like our cell phones. There is so much to talk about this keyboard, so may be I’ll make a separate article on it.
