At Apple’s recent keynote, the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), the company announced a plethora of new things. Nicknamed as the most densely packed keynote, CEO Tim Cook and other top executives wasted no time in announcing products like the new Mac Pro, iPadOS, macOS Catalina, and also the new version of iOS, called iOS 13 (obviously).

Apple announced a ton of exciting new features for iOS 13. Here’s a list of all the cool things you can enjoy on your iPhones soon.

Dark Mode

Apple announced a systemwide Dark Mode option for the iPhone, a feature that was heavily demanded by iPhone users for years. All of Apple's suite of apps will get access to this new appearance. As well as looking pretty mean, Apple says its Dark Mode will deliver a great viewing experience, especially in low-light environments. There could be one final bonus of Dark Mode and that's the possibility of extra battery life.

Sign in with Apple

Apple is known to be the most secure operating system. And the company decided to take this one step further as they announced a “Sign in with Apple” option for applications and platforms that require users to sign in with their social media accounts. ‘Sign in with Apple’ makes it easy for users to authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID and has two-factor authentication built in for an added layer of security.

Faster iPhones

Apple has claimed that performances will be vastly improved on iOS 13. This new OS should make the entire system more responsive with faster Face ID unlock, and a new way to package iPhone apps on the App Store that reduces app download sizes by up to 50 per cent.

This makes app updates over 60 per cent smaller and results in apps launching up to twice as fast.

Swipe keyboard (FINALLY)

Apple finally announced the swipe keyboard functionality on its device keyboard. OS 13 supports a new swipe-based keyboard called the QuickPath Keyboard, which lets you swipe a finger from one letter to the next to type without removing your finger from the iPhone's display.

While things look good for iPhone users, not everyone will be happy at the end of the day. iOS 13 will only be coming to iPhone 6S and later. This means if you’re still using the iPhone 6 or any of the older iPhones, you’re out of luck with new updates.
