Vicky Kaushal is a Hindi film actor who had worked in many Bollywood movies. Being born in Mumbai, Maharashtra and in a family with the background of films, Vicky had always an insect of films inside him. He is the son of Sham Kaushal who was a stunt man and an action director too. Though Vicky was interested in movies still he pursued his studies and completed his B.Tech from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology. From the very beginning, Vicky was interested in acting but he started his career as an assistant director for the film Gangs of Waseypur(2012) under the guidance of Anurag Kashyap. Later on, he debuted as an actor through the film Masaan (2015) for which he won IIFA and Screen Awards for the best newcomer. The setting of this film is in Benaras. This film also got screened in 2015 Cannes Film Festival and Vicky also got nominated for Asian Film Award For Best Newcomer.

The second film from which Vicky got a little fame is Raman Raghav 2.0(2016) in which he worked with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and he played the role of a drug-addicted police officer. His fame got raised from the film Raazi, although he was in supporting role but under he left a mark upon audiences and critics. He also got nominated for Best Supporting Actor in many awards shows. The next film that marked his fame is Sanju in which he played the role of Sanju's friend. In this film, we saw Vicky as a different person but as the same actor who acts for the sake of entertainment. For this film, Vicky got awarded for the Best Supporting Role in Filmfare. He also acted as a lead for the 'Netflix' film Lust Stories and Love Per Square Foot.

The real break of Kaushal

Uri: The Surgical Strike was the film that made Vicky recognized in every corner of India. In this film, he played the role of an army officer which was based upon true events. He got appreciated not just from audiences but also from critics as usual. This film indeed made him the man of dreams. He also got a position in Forbes India Under 30 in 2018. His upcoming projects are with Karan Johar and Shoojit Sarkar. We will also see him playing Aurenzeb, the Mughal Emperor in Takht alongside with Alia Bhatt, with whom he has already worked in Raazi, Bhumi Pednekar and many more.
