Who doesn't want to taste the forbidden fruit?

The fact that it is forbidden makes it all the more desirable. The more one tries to resist, the more difficult it is. Giving in to temptation expresses the ethos of young adult life in which the adrenaline rush simply seems impossible to sharks off. All the time, we are accused of giving in to temptation. In fact, it is an innate , irreparable irrevocable mechanism that all human species carry and, unlike other fancy gizmos. The temptation function works smoothly without fail. No matter how desperately we want this mechanism to rust, to undergo wear and tear, it is always in an impeccable state of operation day or night. The genesis of this less explained highly convoluted phenomenon of temptation goes back to the Garden of Eden. Probably had it not been for Adam and Eve, we would have been saved from it. Their bite from the apple of knowledge is a debt that we have been doomed to pay for eternity. Well, God's perfect prototypes of humanity couldn't resist it then we have this cliché we are only humans as our defence mechanism, at least till the time scientists can come up with an explanation for it.

We owe it to temptation

Since we have always been asked to nurture the notion of a positive outlook, a thought struck my mind like blitzkrieg one fortunate day. We owe a colossal part of our lives to temptation. The temptation to explore the undiscovered labyrinthine trails of nature, the temptation to follow the path of one's true calling, and the temptation to strive and make the world a happier place. Had it not been for great scientist, thinkers and philosophers who dared to dream big, bigger than usual, in fact so big that it can be probably be attributed to falling for that irresistible factor -temptation (a feeling so intense, so strong, so powerful that it grips a person so tightly in its hold that he can't escape) -we would have been simply surviving and not living.

Life has a strange way of falling into a pattern as we move on, creating an interesting mosaic. Albeit unfathomable close up, which assumes a greater meaning as we move further from it. Suddenly, it seems comprehensible. So next time before yielding to a temptation, give it a brief thought as to whether it carries the slightest potential to make your or someone else's existence meaningful. If 'yes crops up in mind, don't give it a second thought .Follow it, it is your true calling.
