"A Multi National Company having a good place for their official works
faced a problem of parking so they converted half portion of a park into their
parking slot area."

They think about their problem but not for their environment. Is it good for our
environment??

Sometimes ago there was a show on “Star Plus” of one of the famous celebrity
“Aamir Khan” named “Satyamev Jayate”. In one of the episodes he showed that a
vast land having large mountain of garbage on it was changed into a beautiful garden byusing some bacteria or some chemical reaction.

The above given information also shows the technical development among people
when they converted a huge mountain of garbage into a beautiful garden area by
using some chemical reactions and they also cared about the environment. They
saved our environment from their technical and advanced knowledge which is the
requirement of today’s time as we all know what's the position of our environment .
In today's era where everyone wants to become a developed and successful personin their life, many of us even talk about the development on regular basis and findout other alternative to become developed. We talk about our future career. Wetalk about the different gadgets launching in the market day-by-day. But we do notunderstand what we are doing with our environment for our own greed. But still wedo not even want to talk about it. We just want a surrounding in which we have alot of gadgets and many other advanced technologies... that's it.

So what's the solution???Is stopping our growing technology the only solution forthis?? No it's a big no for this. We do not need to stop our developing

technology or our innovative ideas or anything else, but we just need to think aboutan idea to balance both the things simultaneously parallel. And I think we have thatidea but many of us are not aware of that idea. The idea of which I am talkingabout is "SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT ".

Yes, the sustainable development it means meeting the needs of the present
without compromising ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Sustainable development is actually a continuous process. To be sustainable is a
constant challenge for humanity. The pillars of sustainable development are the
following:
* Human and social capital, their culture and knowledge constitute social pillar.

* Nature, biodiversity or natural capital constitute environment pillar.

* Money, goods or man- made capital constitute economic pillar.

* The actions of government to implement sustainable development in their policies
are considered the institutional pillar.

* Social development, economic development and environmental protection areequivalent objectives of sustainable development. When the sum total of nature's resources (natural capital) is used up faster than itcan be replenished, degradation of the environmental occurs. However, if human

activity only uses nature's resources at a rate at which they can be replenished
naturally, sustainability occurs.
Equitable use of resources for sustainable lifestyle:
1. Equitable use of resources for sustainable lifestyle requires that the rate of use ofrenewable resources do not exceed regeneration rates and rates of use of non￾renewable resources do not exceed rates of development of renewable substitutes.

2. Some examples of lifestyle changes which we can adopt to assist in
environmental sustainable development are:
* Installing a rainwater harvesting tank,
* Washing our car on the lawn,
* Growing our own veggies in the back garden,
* Using cloth bags for shopping and their re-use, instead of use of plastic bags.
* Installing energy- saving light bulbs in our homes, schools, colleges, offices, etc.
* One should not waste water and electricity.
* One should travel via car-pooling instead of using individual cars.
But there are some major obstacles in path of sustainable development in India are
as follows:
1. Population explosion.
2. Absence of adequate political and industrial willingness for sustainable future.
3. Non- availability of eco- friendly and resource efficient technology.
4. Absence of appropriate land use planning.
5. Non- availability of sufficient funds.
6. Absence of strict environment laws and practices.
7. Absence of practice of effective methods of pollution control.
8. Insufficiency of environmental awareness, non- conservation of resources.

So,at last i would only like to tell you all that I have provided the suggestions and its upto you all to either follow or ignore it as most of us always do....We should always remember that it's never too early to start but never too late to mend...
