The Evil Of Ragging

Ragging refers to an act that violates the dignity of a person. There have been many complaints of psychological and physical injury due to ragging in colleges and educational institutions.

It has been turned into nightmares to student and their guardian at the time of admission to various colleges.

The supporters of ragging offer an argument for it as an ordeal to make students fit for the future struggle for existence. The reports of incidents of ragging in some of the reputed professional colleges and Educational Institutes is quite alarming .

As a result of ragging many students give up their studies and go back home, some get seriously injured and some lose their mental balance.

Ragging can be termed as the tradition of bullying junior and newly admitted Students by senior students at Educational Institutes.

Educational Institutes are centre of learning and knowledge ,ragging should be completely prohibited.

The University Grants Commission ( UGC ) had developed up help portal to eliminate ragging. The government should pass strict laws to stop such ragging and anybody found guilty of indulging in any form of ragging should be dealt strictly.
