Indian Army

The Indian Army is the largest component of Indian armed forces. The President of India is the supreme commander of the Indian Army.

Indian Army was founded on 1st April 1895 which is approximately 124 years ago. The motto of our Indian Army is “ service before self “ . Army Day is celebrated on 15th January.

The primary mission of the Indian Army's to ensure National unity and security, defending the nation from external threats and maintaining peace and security within it's border.

It is a major component of national power alongside the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force. The Indian Army has a regimental system, but is geographically and operationally divided into seven commands.

It is the second largest standing army in the world with lacks of active Troops and reserve Troops .

Indian Army is the proud of our Nation and should be respected.
