Dear puppy,
Since the beginning of time, I have begged my parents for you. Attempts by my elder sister had been made way before too,but alas, all in vain *sigh*.

I asked them when I was five, they said "you're too
young to take care of another living creature" and when I repeated the same question 12 years later, they would say, "you'll go off to college soon."

I'd knock my brains out everyday to figure out waysto convince them. I'd make notes on how to take
good care of you and what routine I have to have
when I have you and what time to take you out on a walk and when to feed you and what not. I had
learnt it all, all I needed now was you.
Google was so habituated with my bombardment of questions about you, that it would now show me advertisements on adoption of you. At an age where girls dream about their prince charming I would

dream about you.

I'd pet EVERY dog that I would pass by and dream of when I finally have the pleasure to be a mother to one. I would promise my parents every day that I'll take good care of you, but ah, they wouldn't budge! I remember making pacts with my friend of adopting you, having you at my place for 6 months and then she for another 6.

The closest my parents got to agreeing to get me a
pet was when they agreed to buy me a hamster and thought it would substitute the undying love I have for you(never got the hamster either by the way). The irony was my mother was a mother to four dogs herself! FOUR DOGS! And here, I couldn't

even get ONE!

My pinterest boards are filled with pictures of you and ideas on how to click photos with you. Lord knows when I'll finally be able to click on "tried this pin"! I am waiting for the day when you come and shower me with sloppy kisses and warm hugs and never leave my side when I have a bad day. I'm waiting for the day when you stare me to death until I give you the food in my hand. I'm waiting for the day when I come back home from school and you jump around me just because you are very happy to see me. I'm waiting for the day when I do a 10 year challenge with you. I think having you would make me a much better person than I already am. My house would never be a home without you.

With all my love and cuddles to you big ball of fur,
Yours,
Human.
