Let Them Decide

And today is my first cry, I finally entered this world and I saw many people around me among which two are the happiest, my parents.I am very excited that finally I am out of my mom’s womb to this huge world, but wait, what did my dad just said! He wants me to become a doctor?What? Mom is saying I'll become a charted accountant, just hold on, what’s going on? This is the first page of my life how can you decide this now.

This is how our present situations are. Right from the day the child begins to walk they open the planner in their mind — which school to join, which syllabus- state, CBSE, ICSE, what kind of sports, what kind of extracurricular activities-dance, music, guitar and all this planning is ended on one topic, career. This is their main Motto, and their complete focus is on their career goals.

We all know parent’s only concern is whether their children will reach up to the level where they can lead a perfect life. There are some set of parents who want their children to be a super achiever. They want them to be good in every field, and whatever they do should be focused to the end of the game, that is their career. Even they inculcate hobbies which will benefit them. These all things explode their minds at the end. They feel extreme pressure because sometimes they can’t express all this to their parents as they don’t want to disappoint the one who are the reason for their life.

Let them breathe, let them explore their talents by their own. Let them learn things and see the world with their own eyes. Don’t pile up your ideas and plans on them. Let them be independent to achieve their individual dreams, discover their hidden talents. Support their views, motivate them and give them the strength that whatever may be the reason you are always standing behind them to hold then up whenever they fall. This is what every child needs from their parents, their belief and support.

Every child is perfect in their own ways they just need to discover their goals and work hard.
