Are you a travel enthusiast? Is traveling your passion?
Well, I am sure all of you must have traveled to someplace around the world. Whenever we plan a trip, the first thing that comes in our mind is packing, what to take and what not to, in which bag to pack, what clothes to take, etc. Till the last minute, we all are doing our packing and sometimes it is a total mess.

Just imagine you have arrived in your hotel room and you are finding your favorite pair of pajamas and when you open your suitcase to find it, you got to know that you forgot to pack them and now you have created a mess. That is why you need to organize your bags properly and need to make sure you have packed everything appositely.

So here are some steps that one should follow before traveling to their destination to make sure that they don’t end up creating clutter and distract themselves from enjoying their vacation.

STEP 1: In what to pack
Well, there are many types of travels some are adventurous, business, getaway, etc. You need to know which one is yours so that according to it you can pack everything and select your main luggage. By main luggage here I mean is in what you will pack like a suitcase, duffel bag, etc. This will be your luggage. Whenever you travel make sure your luggage is lightweight, versatile, flexible and big enough to carry all your essentials for the trip. Whatever luggage you choose, it should of good quality, durable, wear and tear resistant. You don’t need yourself to worry about how your bag got torn or the wheels broke.

You can choose a trolley suitcase in case you are going on a long trip or its business trip. It will be of great help as it can accommodate more clothes, keep your documents safe and you don’t have to carry it in your hands and walk down the road. All you have to do is roll the wheels down the paved roads and enjoy the trip. If you are going for a short trip for 2-3 days, then you can choose a duffel bag or backpack. All you have to do is to carry the lightweight bag on your shoulders. Also along with your main luggage, prepare a carry-on bag which will be helpful at airport checking and while traveling.

STEP 2: Collocate your things

You need to have a clear mind about what to take and what not to. Whenever you are traveling always carry a minimum amount of clothes and those should be the essential ones. You need to organize your thing appropriately so that you can find what you need at the right time. Pack your thing in packing cubes. They are very useful as you know where which thing is and also it helps in compressing your clothes so that you get enough space for packing a little bit extra. For clothing, keep the basics like jeans or shorts, few t-shirts or tops, sweaters or jackets(if you are going to a hilly place), socks(can take as many you want because you don’t want smelly feet), comfortable pair of shoes, undergarments( always keep an extra pair of them), nightwear. You can keep one or two fancy dresses if you want. Apart from this, if you are going to beaches, carry your best swimsuit, beach hat, sunglasses. Apart from the clothes, keep your mobile charger, a battery charger device, speakers, earplugs and a travel pillow. You don’t need a stiff neck from a long journey.

STEP 3: Pack your toiletries

While packing your bags, people tend to forget packing their toothbrushes or shaving kit and when they reach the hotel, they realize that they didn’t pack it up. So make sure you pack all your toiletries in different small organizer bags so they don’t end up getting lost. Carry your toothbrush, shampoo, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, tissue paper, etc. whatever you feel you may need it. Women if you are carrying makeup make sure you have packed them in a small cube bag and carry only the essentials like an SPF cream, bobby pins, lipstick, hair bands, and combs, makeup wipes. While traveling it is important that you maintain your health, so get yourself vaccinated in advance. Keep a small health box in which you have painkillers, band-aids, allergy medicines (if you have any allergy), pain resistant spray, multivitamins, insect repellent, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, etc.

STEP 4: Prepare a carry-on bag

While you have all your clothes and other items packed in your main luggage, it is always wise to travel with a carry-on bag in which you have a pair of clothes, your other items like mobile phone, charger, tablet, laptop, headphones, some hand sanitizer, wet wipes, a lip gloss, your wallet, credit cards and cash and your important travel document. You can carry with you everywhere. During the airport check, it is easy to provide the documents. Carry with you a book which you can read if you are bored. Take with yourself a travel guide and map of the place you are going to. Most importantly take a water bottle with you. You don’t want yourself fainting due to dehydration.

STEP 5: Check your passport and wallet

Before leaving for the trip, make sure you have your passport and air ticket with yourself. Also, check your wallet if it is intact with credit cards and some cash in it. Along with your passport, always carry one or two other identity cards of yours, your health and travel insurance documents, and your hotel reservation details. You don’t want yourself lost in an unknown place, so always have your travel itinerary with yourself.

I guess these steps are enough for one to have a wonderful and safe journey without much chaos. Enjoy the trip to its maximum, gather knowledge from the locals, try local cuisine, language, go shopping, and buy souvenirs for your friends and family. Make your trip memorable one.
