A hectic day at work? Too many chapters to cram at? Or maybe nothing. Whatever be the reason, coffee is one of the most favorite drinks of all time.
“To me, the smell of fresh-made coffee is one of the greatest inventions.” – Hugh Jackman
It hardly matters why you are drinking coffee. What matters is the taste, aroma and the alertness your coffee provides. With that being said, it is quite fair to state that everyone has their favorite coffee type. There are plenty of different types of coffee you could taste but here are some of the most popular types of coffees available at commonplace and how they are made:
This type can be made quite easily by simply adding hot water to a small shot of espresso. Word goes in the mouth that the American soldiers during the Second World War made this coffee so that their beverages lasted longer. Then the American baristas adopted it once the war ended.
This is hugely popular amongst coffee drinkers. It is made with a single shot of coffee and steamed milk. It is usually available in a frothy get up. You might find some cafes not being able to decipher the difference between a flat white and a latte.
“A Cappuccino please”, is something you must have heard a lot. Cappuccino is in all possibility the most loved coffee all over the globe. This one has first a shot of espresso, then one of steamed milk and finally it is topped with a layer of frothed, foamy milk. The topping can also be altered by chocolate shavings or chocolate powder, whatever please you. Italians by tradition have this coffee with breakfast.
Add boiling hot water to finely ground coffee beans and pour the concoction into a tiny mug and you have a shot of espresso. Might sound simple but this is one of the most difficult things to master. This is the purest coffee experience one can have and yes, they are not preferred by anyone and everyone.
‘Mocha’ is just latte with chocolate powder or chocolate syrup added. It sometimes might as well be topped with whipped cream. So, if you are a coffee and a chocolate lover, then mocha is the best of both worlds you could get.
There would be plenty of people who would agree that nothing releases stress better than coffee. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee is something I love waking up to. It’s relaxing, it’s cultural, and energetic too. What else do you need to fall in love with something? Coffee will remain quintessential until time ends regardless of its cons (well, because the pros overweigh them).
