To all the nerds out there, and to the people who taunt them, this one's for you.

I have this vague memory of my childhood. I just changed school after Lower KinderGarten and my new school, was a completely differernt world for me. The first day was both, a bit awful and exciting. So nearly after a month my school began, my teacher took a spelling test. We had to write the correct spellings for the words she would say. I didn't know what a test was until then, because I only had exams in my previous school. The day of the test came and I just wrote what I know. After few days, my teacher called me to her desk and yelled at me for scoring 3 out of 5.

I couldn't control crying, but I did. That day I went home and cried while hiding from my parents and brother. I didn't want anyone to know that I was feeling sad. That was the day, I decided never to step down, from being the best. It was not like I wanted to be the first ranker everytime, I just wanted my parents to not be behind my back in matters related to my studies.

Over the years during my schooling, I was happy about my marks and grades. Never were my parents called to my school to talk about my performance and neither was I ever below the top five in my class. But as they say, everything comes with a price, be it good or bad. Some members, both family and friends couldn't tolerate my so called "obsession" with studies.

From my teenage, I heard the word "nerd" used as a taunt. People are always complaining when things don't go their way. By things, I mean when others are not how people want them to be. Even teachers have a rather foolish say in this. There are teachers who help us even after their class is over and even if we don't excel in their subject, also then there are some, ready to judge their students, just based on their grades. Teachers are expected to teach and not to involve, interfere in matters regarding the students' personal choices. But you don't like when someone talks to you that way, right teachers?

Judging a person based on his habits, personal choices and psychological behaviour? You need to stop being so stupid, naive and merely intelligent humas. What people do, and how people are is none of your concern. The only thing that should matter to you, is the way how people behave and interact with you.

Nerds may be introverted and socially awkward, but even they are humans, and yes they do have feelings. Mocking them, for not seeing any girl, not having a social life, or for not making any sport their cup of tea, makes you look like ketchup to my green tea.( In case you didn't get what I'm saying, it just means you're useless and such a waste!).

Nerds out there, just in case if anyone mocks you for anything. just treat them like a trash can in your life. Don't change yourself just for the comfort of making friends with everyone. not everyone deserves you. You might feel lonely and even feel that you're best friends are not proud of you, but at the end of the day, it's your excellence that should matter to you.

PS: Never have I ever before typed any writeup this fast, because unlike others I didn't have to be fictitous in this one. All that I have written, is what I have encountered in my life.

Happy Reading!
