  आज तुम्हारे लिए अच्छी स्वच्छ चीज़ें हलाल कर दी गई और जिन्हें किताब दी गई उनका भोजन भी तुम्हारे लिए हलाल है और तुम्हारा भोजन उनके लिए हलाल है और शरीफ़ और स्वतंत्र ईमानवाली स्त्रियाँ भी जो तुमसे पहले के किताबवालों में से हो, जबकि तुम उनका हक़ देकर उन्हें निकाह में लाओ । न तो यह काम स्वछन्द कामतृप्ति के लिए हो और न चोरी - छिपे याराना करने को । और जिस किसी ने ईमान से इनकार किया, उसका सारा किया - धरा अकारथ गया और वह आख़िरत में भी घाटे में रहेगा

  ऐ ईमानदार जो पाक चीज़े ख़ुदा ने तुम्हारे वास्ते हलाल कर दी हैं उनको अपने ऊपर हराम न करो और हद से न बढ़ो क्यों कि ख़ुदा हद से बढ़ जाने वालों को हरगिज़ दोस्त नहीं रखता

  आठ नर - मादा पैदा किए - दो भेड़ की जाति से और दो बकरी की जाति से - कहो," क्या उसने दोनों नर हराम किए है या दोनों मादा को ? या उसको जो इन दोनों मादा के पेट में हो ? किसी ज्ञान के आधार पर मुझे बताओ, यदि तुम सच्चे हो ।"

• Divorced women should wait for three menstrual cycles ; it is unlawful for them, if they believe in God and the Last Day, to hide what God has created in their wombs. Their husbands have the right to take them back within that time, if they desire to be reconciled.   और तलाक़ पाई हुई स्त्रियाँ तीन हैज़ गुज़रने तक अपने - आप को रोके रखे, और यदि वे अल्लाह और अन्तिम दिन पर ईमान रखती है तो उनके लिए यह वैध न होगा कि अल्लाह ने उनके गर्भाशयों में जो कुछ पैदा किया हो उसे छिपाएँ । इस बीच उनके पति, यदि सम्बन्धों को ठीक कर लेने का इरादा रखते हों, तो वे उन्हें लौटा लेने के ज़्यादा हक़दार है । और उन पत्नियों के भी सामान्य नियम के अनुसार वैसे ही अधिकार हैं, जैसी उन पर ज़िम्मेदारियाँ डाली गई है । और पतियों को उनपर एक दर्जा प्राप्त है । अल्लाह अत्यन्त प्रभुत्वशाली, तत्वदर्शी है

  और जिन औरतों को तलाक़ दी गयी है वह अपने आपको तलाक़ के बाद तीन हैज़ के ख़त्म हो जाने तक निकाह सानी से रोके और अगर वह औरतें ख़ुदा और रोजे आख़िरत पर ईमान लायीं हैं तो उनके लिए जाएज़ नहीं है कि जो कुछ भी ख़ुदा ने उनके रहम में पैदा किया है उसको छिपाएँ और अगर उन के शौहर मेल जोल करना चाहें तो वह में उन के वापस बुला लेने के ज्यादा हक़दार हैं और शरीयत मुवाफिक़ औरतों का वही सब कुछ हक़ है जो मर्दों का औरतों पर है हाँ अलबत्ता मर्दों को औरतों पर फौक़ियत ज़रुर है और ख़ुदा ज़बरदस्त हिक़मत वाला है
