• Consequent upon this, the Secretariats were functionally reorganised into the following services: i The Legislative Service for dealing with the work connected with the business of the House such as legislation, questions, preparation of List of Business, etc. ; ii The Financial Committee Service for rendering secretarial assistance and attending to all works connected with the three Financial Committees and the Railway Convention Committee ; iii The Executive and Administrative Service to deal with administrative and general matters and to look after the payment of salaries, allowances and other amenities to members and staff ; iv The Library, reference, Research, Documentation and Information Service to keep the members of Parliament well - informed of the day - to - day developments in India and abroad, by maintaining an up - to - date and well - equipped library and efficient research and reference services and to provide reference material on legislative measures and other matters coming up before the two Houses — Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha — so as to enable the members to participate v effectively in the debates of their respective Houses ; The Verbatim Reporting, Personal Secretaries and Stenographic Service for the reporting of parliamentary proceedings and those of the Committees and for provision of stenographic assistance to officers ; vi The Parliamentary Interpreters Service with responsibility for simultaneous interpretation of proceedings in the Lok Sabha as well as its Committees ; vii The Printing, Publications, Stationery, Sales, Stores, Distribution Service covering a printing, rota - printing, and bindery works, b stationery and stores, record - keeping c sales, and d receipt and distribution ; viii The Editorial and Translation Services for editing of debates and preparing synopsis of debates, translation of debates, reports and parliamentary papers ; ix The Watch and Ward, Doorkeeper and Sanitation Service to look after security measures inside and outside the Parliament House and to ensure proper maintenance of the premises ; x Clerks, Typists, Record Sorters and Daftries Service, and xi The Messenger Service to function as supporting staff required by all the other services.
  उसके परिणामस्वरूप, सचिवालयों का निम्नलिखित सेवाओं के रूप में कृत्यात्मक पुनर्गठन किया गयाः 1 विधायी सेवा जो विधान, प्रश्नों, कार्यसूची तैयार करने आदि जैसे सदन से संबंधित कार्य करती है ; 2 वित्तीय समिति सेवा जो तीनों वित्तीय समितियों को और रेलवे अभिसमय समिति को सचिवालयी सहायता उपलपब्ध कराती है और इनसे संबंधित सभी कार्य करती है ; 3 एक्जीक्यूटिव तथा प्रसासन सेवा जो प्रशासनिक और सामान्य मामलों से संबंधित और सदस्यों तथा अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों को वेतन तथा भत्तों की अदायगी और अन्य सुविधाओं से संबंधित कार्य करती है ; 4 ग्रंथालय, सदर्भ, शोध, प्रलेखन तथा सूचना सेवा जो अद्यतन और पूरी तरह सुसज्जित ग्रंथालय तथा कुशल शोध एवं संदर्भ सेवाओं के द्वारा भारत में और विदेशों में प्रतिदिन घटने वाली घटनाओं से संसद सदस्यों को सुपरिचित रखती है और दोनों सदनों लोक सभा और राज्य सभा के समक्ष आऩे वाले विधायी उपायों एवं अन्य मामलों पर संदर्भ सामग्री उपलब्ध कराती है ताकि सदस्य अपने अपने सदन में होने वाले वाद विवाद में प्रभावी रूप से भाग ले सकेंः 5 शब्दशः आशुलेखन रिपोर्टिंग, वैयक्तिक सचिव तथा आशुलिपिक सेवा जो संसदीय कार्यवाहियों और समितियों की कार्यवाहियों का आशुलेखन करती है और अधिकारियों के लिए आशुलिपिक सहायता की व्यवस्था करती है ; 6 संसदीय भाषांतरकार सेवा जो लोक सभा की तथा इसकी समितियों की कार्यवाहियों के समानांतर अथवा साथ साथ अनुवाद के लिए उत्तरदायी है ; हमारी संसद 7 मुद्रण, प्रकाशन, लेखन - सामग्री, विक्रय, भंडार, वितरण सेवा जो क मुद्रण रोटा प्रिंटिंग और जिल्द बांधने के कार्य ख लेखन - सामग्री और भंडार, रिकार्ड रखने ग विक्रय और घ प्राप्ति तथा वितरण के कार्य करती है ; 8 संपादकीय तथा अनुवाद सेवा जो वाद विवाद का संपादन करती है और वाद विवाद के सारांश तैयार करती है, वाद विवाद, प्रतिवेदनों और संसदीय पत्रों का अनुवाद करती है ; 9 सुरक्षा, द्वारपाल तथा सफाई सेवा जो संसद भवन के अंदर और बाहर सुरक्षा के उपायों की देखरेख करती है और परिसरों का उचित रख रखाव सुनिश्चित करती है ; 10 क्लर्क, टाईपिस्ट, रिकार्ड सार्टर और दफ्तरी सेवा ; और 11 संदेशवाहक सेवा जो अन्य सभी सेवाओं द्वारा अपेक्षित सहायक कर्मचारियों के रूप में कार्य करती है ।
