  और, यद्यपि मनुष्य के मनोमय प्राणी होने के कारण, यह ज्ञान के हमारे साधारण करणों से अपनी खोज आरम्भ कर सकती है अथवा यहांतक कि इसे आवश्यक रूप से ऐसा करना ही होता है फिर भी, इसे उतने ही आवश्यक रूप में उन करणों के परे जाकर अतीन्द्रिय तथा अतिमानसिक साधनों और शक्तियों का प्रयोग करना होगा, क्योंकि यह किसी ऐसी चीज की खोज कर रही है जो स्वयं अतीन्द्रिय एवं अतिमानसिक है तथा मन और इन्द्रियों की पकड़ से परे है, यद्यपि मन और इन्द्रिय के द्वारा उसकी प्रथम झलक अवश्य प्राप्त हो सकती है या उसकी प्रतिबिम्बित आकृति दिखायी दे सकती है ।

  और ज़मीन पर चलने वालों में बहुतेरे ऐसे हैं जो अपनी रोज़ी अपने ऊपर लादे नहीं फिरते ख़ुदा ही उनको भी रोज़ी देता है और तुम को भी और वह बड़ा सुनने वाला वाक़िफकार है

Fear Me. Today I have completed your religion for you and completed My blessing upon you. I have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if anyone is forced by hunger to eat something which is forbidden, not intending to commit a sin, he will find God forgiving and merciful.
  तुम्हारे लिए हराम हुआ मुर्दार रक्त, सूअर का मांस और वह जानवर जिसपर अल्लाह के अतिरिक्त किसी और का नाम लिया गया हो और वह जो घुटकर या चोट खाकर या ऊँचाई से गिरकर या सींग लगने से मरा हो या जिसे किसी हिंसक पशु ने फाड़ खाया हो - सिवाय उसके जिसे तुमने ज़बह कर लिया हो - और वह किसी थान पर ज़बह कियी गया हो । और यह भी कि तीरो के द्वारा किस्मत मालूम करो । यह आज्ञा का उल्लंघन है - आज इनकार करनेवाले तुम्हारे धर्म की ओर से निराश हो चुके हैं तो तुम उनसे न डरो, बल्कि मुझसे डरो । आज मैंने तुम्हारे धर्म को पूर्ण कर दिया और तुमपर अपनी नेमत पूरी कर दी और मैंने तुम्हारे धर्म के रूप में इस्लाम को पसन्द किया - तो जो कोई भूख से विवश हो जाए, परन्तु गुनाह की ओर उसका झुकाव न हो, तो निश्चय ही अल्लाह अत्यन्त क्षमाशील, दयावान है
