But that’s just one thing. What exactly is this mission about?

Mars Mission

Mars 2020 is a project wherein a rover will be launched from earth on 17th July 2020 from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and it will land in Jezoro crater on Mars on 18 February 2021. Mission duration is at least one Mars year (687 Earth Days).

It is a part of the Mars Exploration project by NASA and the rover will identify the possibility of life on Mars by analyzing its surface and habitat. It will also seek signs of past life on Mars. This is how the rover looks-

This mission is vital for sending man to Mars. We have to analyze about Earth 2.0 in depth, if we will be able to sustain in that environment. Or whether going to Mars is nothing but a failed mission.

The Rover will launch on Atlas V-541, an expendable launch system. With a possibility of your name on it! Digitally of course.

And Yes, NASA does it with most of its project, to make people aware about the missions.
