Going back in time, people used to see everything from superstitious perspective which did not give way to logical reasoning , thinking, analysing and getting into the deeper roots of everything. they judged everything superficially and concluded the matter then and there itself. They gave credence to supernatural events rather being cerebral. This gave way to a loathsome, evil monster called 'society.' No doubt the society is meant for the betterment of the people- who are backward, do not have adequate facilities, cannot reach out for help. But these days, whoever gives assurance for the betterment and protection of the people on the behalf of the "so-called society", it seems to me like flying in the face of common sense. It is nothing but the agglomeration of the evil mindset of the people that puts the society down. These certain petty barriers have given way to such monsterous act called "CHILD MARRIAGE."

Child marriage has been a subject undergoing intense study in the field of history. Late back in 18th and 19th centuries , it was prevalent almost everywhere but more rampant in south asia. Well, speaking about child marriage in India, this has always been a subject of debate. Though the issue of child marriage has minimised with the passage of time, but still, it exists on a large scale in remote areas.

Being in a democratic country like India, we citizens cannot be enforced by an individual not to exercise our fundamental rights. but the ones who suffer the most are the children. The children being in such a tender age are absolutely unaware of the fact that they are going to commit their whole life to someone else whom they don't even know properly. Their sweet little minds, who do not even know the names of their partners and have no idea about all the responsibilities that they are going to undertake.

Some global organisations such as UNICEF has also mentioned under 18 as minors.. In India, marriage is considered to be "child marriage" only if the girl is under 18 and the boy is under 21 years of age. Irrespective of all the actions that are taken by the Government, people are still practicing child marriage. People should be aware of the perks of educating their children rather than just getting them married at such a tender age. Child marriage in India is due to various reasons such as poverty, insecurity, lack of education, inadequate Government job facilities, political and financial reasons, patriarchy and gender inequalities.

In order to restrain the situation from getting worse, awareness should be created among individuals, and the best way to do so is to connect with the media. Different shows, documentary films , articles based on child marriage are coming up. News channels are continuously debating on this topic- for what? It is for the parents who are on the verge of getting their children married. Therefore, it is the need of understanding that is lacking in subtle amount in the people of this generation. The saddest part of the matter is that the parents also get themselves involved in such an act of criminality for some of their personal interests. I really fail to understand- how can parents use their children for their egocentricity?

Nowadays people should refrain from getting involved in such acts of criminality and concentrate more on educating factor. They should understand the preponderance of being literate and the way it triggers the rate of growth of a nation economically, socially, politically and in the field of education , science and research too.
