So basically I attended the wedding on first day, covered 68 Lingas on the second day and now the final day…

Fireworks and Gadda(a village fair).

In the evening, we went to the Gadda. There were many shops where one could buy clothes, accessories, vada pav, dabeli, sugarcane juice and many other stuff. We ate cotton candy and vada pav. The speciality about these shops was that all these things (except the clothes ofcourse! ) were being sold at a very cheap rate (mostly in the range of Rs. 10 to Rs. 20).

Then we moved on towards the games section. We sat on Merry-go-round, dragon train, Thunder bolt rides. It was a thrilling experience. I also tried shooting the balloons. I had 6 chances and guess what? I could burst a balloon on every shot! Yay! My mom tried it too. She just missed one shot.

At 8 pm, we went to a nearby ground where there was a competition of fireworks. It was a completely different experience because it was so not what I had expected. The participant had used wooden sticks to make a particular shape like star, map of India, a wheel, etc. and lit them up with lights and firecrackers. They weren’t like the normal fireworks that we get to see during Diwali. There was also a 78 year old man who was hosting the show. Must say, his sense of humour added 4 stars to the show! The show continued for about 1 hour. The mayor of the city was the chief guest. We got to sit in the front as we had VIP tickets. We were sitting on comfortable, white mattress. While the ones who didn’t have VIP tickets had to sit on the ground.

Overall, I had a lot of fun in Solapur. I was very happy that I could spend quality time with my mother. I came back to Pune with beautiful memories. I felt rejuvenated and I am planning to go to Solapur again but this time for Hoorda party. More about it in some other article!

Till then be happy. Stay blessed! 😊

Edit- Could never make it to the Hoorda party but my mum’s back so yay!
