A productive lifestyle: what an unachievable dream I would do anything to achieve it except get off the bed, *sigh*. As the least productive generation, it becomes almost impossible to try and do anything in summers when the temperature is blazing and your energy levels are at its lowest, (someone grab that Glucon-d please).

So as we proceed further, we realise half the time spent is on our phones, its really like a drug release system where if we're deprived of our phones, we tend to sweat it out and have what you could call withdrawal symptoms.

So how do we convert something that makes us the least productive to a medium that enriches us in the sense that we learn something while being engrossed on our screens? The answer lies in a number of apps which are specifically created for you to take a break from the Insta stories and focus on your mental well being.

Take something like Youtube, you would mainly use it to look at Tiktoks vines, makeup vloggers, songs? Dance covers? Or maybe buzzfeed videos; while all of that goes on, you can lose track of time and focus on things that tend to be useless.

So instead of those, I would highly recommend youtube channels run by small vloggers who focus on artistic creativity as well as lifestyle such as Jusuf, Clahrah, Bestdressed, Jem, Conan Gray and factual videos that you can make sense of through channels like CrashCourse. So your time on youtube is not all that useless right?

Apart from youtube, Pinterest provides a great medium whereby you can save images of different topics that interest you from recipes to workouts and skin down to tips on writing and selfcare. You can make use of your hobbies and engage also in DIY for more fun!

In addition to these, you also have apps such as Coursera from where you can engage in free courses to broaden your abilities. Language apps such as Duolingo and Memrise are great for an introductory lesson in any language you want to learn. Audio book apps such as Audible can also be a great start for people who like reading but find it tedious. Podcasts are also available in plenty in the BBC iplayer Radio which can be downloaded from the android play store. Headspace was designed for a meditative experience which can be quite a relief from the daily stress of the city.

Another app Ive been using recently is Flipboard which many android phones have pre- installed which easily serves my reading quota for the day. Therefore you have a plethora of apps that are relevant and not drab at all, so I would advise you to try them out and let them be your saving grace from the productivity guilt that strikes the generation after lazing around all day.
