India is a place of love, worship and belief. It is a place where not only 33 crore god/goddess exists but also the rocks and the stones are worshipped. We Indians have a extreme belief on everything. that's good but not always.

It's obvious that half of the Indian population is a big CRICKET fan and the fully crowded stadiums in all formats of cricket, everywhere in India is enough to prove this statement. We Indians unite and support our Indian national cricket team in India as well as in any nation where our team goes to play. But when it comes to IPL then this unity can not be seen everywhere.

8 teams from 8 different states clashes to win the prestigious IPL trophy but somewhere outside the stadium there is another rivalry going on between the fans of those teams. Fans have a hope that there favourite team wins, their favourite players performs and the other player of Indian team playing for the rival team fails.

It might be a good thinking to have a competetive nature until and unless the rivalry turns into hatred, the hatred for the players of your very own country.

In the past 12 years of IPL, fans have gone crazy about their teams and players. This madness had led the IPL to become the most successful and highest grossing league is the world but somewhere between all of this the unity of cricket fans is broken. There was a time when there were fans of Sachin Tendulkar, Saurav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Virendra Sehwag, MS Dhoni etc. but these fans were somewhere united for India. But since the 2008 IPL the rivalry of fans is becoming more popular than their teams rivalry.

This festival is not just a festival anymore. There are big names who play for Indian national team as well as for different franchise of IPL. MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma are currently considered as the biggest names of the IPL as well as the International Cricket. But how is this justified that fan one one or two of them not only dislikes but hates the third one forgetting that all of them are our national heroes.

Social Media is somewhere the biggest villain in all of this hatreds and rivalries. There are more than 100 of fanpages of all the big names of Indian cricket team and also of different IPL franchisies. Some of them are loyal fans who only posts the positives of their favourite ones but some of them are so much triggered on other teams and palyers that they want to demolish the fans of them. Those mentally retarded people dont't even understand what they are doing.

Spreading hatred like this have turned fans into not even supporting other players even when the are playing for Indian National team. They only want there idols to perform and get published so that they can troll other players. Ideally this is the worst situation that a cricket palying nation can witness.

Its just that fans need to understand that this is a festival which is celebrated for 2 months every year and like other festivals we need to celebrate it and enjoy it with same enthusiasm and passion like we have during Diwali, Durga puja or Eid. We need to start supporting all indian fans or atleast should not spread hatred for our National Heroes.
