A heart full of stars, a mind so vast
An atheist by faith, a Chelsea enthausiast
Her eyes were deep black, her beauty unsurpassed
In the heart of my heart, I had had a bomb blast.
Her guffaws of laughter, a treat to the eyes
You could gaze her for long, but then the time flies
To muffle my heart beat, I gave a few tries
'Why are you distracted?' - I answered by lies.
Mustering my courage, I resolved to confess
All i wished to hear, was but a YES
I poured my heart out, neither more nor less
Her face became sober, or was it a misguess.
'I have no feelings.....you are just another friend'
The bond had been knackered beyond any mend
I burnt all the papers on which I had penned
My deep innate love, which I couldnt alone fend
That day my heart yenned, as my insides distend
Maybe they say it right- All good things must come to an END.
