No matter where ever we go , we make sure we leave a statement for others. For generations coming by. The Indians have been the show stoppers in whatever they've done , at where ever they've been.

Over the years , there hasn't been a single awards function that the Indians haven't been a part of , or haven't been nominated for.

This time , it's something related to sports. We've seen enough of award ceremonies regarding all the aspects but there hasn't been much hype about sports. It hasn't got the push offlate.

But there's one such organisation that hasn't been at the back foot when it comes to appreciating the sportsmen for their tremendous contribution to the sport. They've been the one who've noticed their hardwork and given them their token of appreciation.

I'm talking about none other than , ICC ( International Cricket Council ).

The ICC Awards are a set of sports awards for cricket. The awards recognise and honor the best international cricket players of the previous 12 months. The awards have been institutionalised by International Cricket Council since 2004.

Over the years , cricketers like Rahul Dravid , Sachin Tendulkar , Gautam Gambhir , MS Dhoni , Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin have received awards for their tremendous contribution to the country and the sport.

The ICC had organized the ICC Awards 2018 recently where in , India was also a part of it. Not only did it be a part of the crowd applauding , They have received quite a few applauses too.

Cricketers such as Virat Kohli , Smriti Mandhana and Rishab Pant were the ones to receive the awards at the ICC Awards 2018.

The Indian Captain Virat Kohli was nominated for three categories respectively.

He won The ICC ODI Cricketer of the year , The ICC Test Cricketer of the year and The ICC Cricketer of the year for his jaw dropping performances across the formats. He had scored 11 hundreds in the One dayers and topping the No.1 ranking in the ODI Batsman list. He had also scored more than 1000 runs (1322) in the tests , topping the No.1 ranking in the ICC Test Batsman list.

He is the only the second Indian batsman after Sachin Tendulkar to do so. He was also named the Captain for the ICC Test and ODI XI of the year. Now if this doesn't surprise you , I don't know what will.

Now talking about the recent sensation of the town , Rishab Pant. Pant won The ICC Emerging Test Player of the year for 2018.

Now coming to the women , Smriti Mandhana had won the Women's Cricketer of the year at the ICC Awards concluded recently.

The aim for India in the future is to be a super power in the game of cricket. With such performances from players , looks like the day isn't far behind.
