Travelling changes you physically and psychologically; it’s definitely not a one-time thing! That piece of advice which I would like to give to people for bringing in more joy to their lives would be to travel more, just plan a journey out somewhere you’ve never gone before and yes with an open schedule so that you can experience different cultures and learn new things.

There are many benefits to travelling and I am sure once you plan your trip, you will find a few more.

  • Improves Health factor: From lowering down the stress level to reducing the chance of heart disease, the benefits are huge.Travelling more likely brings an impact on your mental well-being.

  • Disconnect from your Daily Routine: We tend to get so much caught in our daily lives that sticking around it also causes us harm. So it is always better to plan a short trip or a weekend getaway to get a break from our routines.

  • It makes you Tolerant and Smarter: You get that chance of learning new languages while meeting different people across the Globe. Travelling makes you more open and accepting to the people around and it may even create some challenging situations at times which makes you resourceful.

  • It allows you to try Amazing Food: Speaking of food, I mean we are chefs at our home making delicious meals but there is no such thing as trying a local dish of the place you visit. It’s an entirely new experience, you cannot trick yourself by going to a Sushi shop next door because you don’t know what Sushi actually tastes like till you have been to Japan.

  • Creating Lifetime Memories: You may see beautiful places and landscapes that do not exist where you live, You may meet people that will change your life, and your thinking and capturing those beautiful moments create memories for a lifetime.

  • It motivates you: Your experiences give you a lot of energy. Coming back from those trips makes you feel motivated because you know you’ve learnt and tried new things which you couldn’t have at home.

  • Makes you feel like an Adventurer: Adventures require novelty, so get out of your comfort zone. It might be daunting, but in retrospect, you'll see it as the best decision you ever made!

I'm currently working on my own bucket list and I think I'll never see the end of it, with all the amazing destinations. Go by the belief Mark Twain quoted “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
