America was always looked upon by other countries for their leadership, courage and their proper use of the power they hold. Many good presidents graced the White House and were very successful during their tenure.

Tuesday, the 8th of November was undoubtedly one of the biggest upsets in American political history with Donald Trump recording a truly historic victory in the US presidential elections.

With all the odds stacked against him in respect to sexual assault allegations and his controversial remarks over EVERYTHING on twitter, Trump’s run to the White House looked very unfavorable and fairly impossible.

But yet, among all the controversies surrounding him, Trump won a sweeping victory in the presidential race. The following factors could partially explain the results of the elections.

These are the three reasons that I thing gave Trump a head start when compared to his peers.

1.Silent Trump Votes
The political pundits and analysts were just wrong about their poll forecasts on this one. The “Silent Trump Supporters” were behind the screen plotting a surprise of a lifetime.

The Trump supporters kept their intentions to themselves and failed to cooperate with the pollsters. This caused a drastic forecast deviation when the polls actually happened and caused an upset among news reporters and analysts.

2.Celebrity beat organization
Trump was a full-fledged celebrity before he even got into politics. He hosted shows like “The Apprentice” and was also part of a reality show called “The Ultimate Merger”.

This gave Trump massive popularity among a wide range of adults and played a huge role during his political campaign because he had 100% recognition.

This was not the case with the other candidates. This advantage gave him a better reach as compared to his peers. The controversial and outrageous speeches he put across during his campaign also added to his fame and kept the camera on his face the whole time.

This unlikely strategy I suppose, gave him unprecedented attention in the social media space.
3.Third-Party voters
With controversy of both the parties lurking over the internet, people found it hard to pick a winner to run the White House. So they decided to not vote instead.

The number of people electing not to vote for the Republican or Democratic nominee went up by 4.5 million votes, nearly tripling from 2012.

It’s difficult to say precisely which of the two major-party candidates these voters would have leaned towards, but this also played a vital role in the vote share and it luckily happened to be favoring Donald Trump.

With all these variables factored in, it somehow managed to favor towards Donald Trump, the unlikely candidate, who turned out to be the President of the United States of America.
