Life in a metro is a movie that revolves around the lives of nine people who are connected to eachother in some way; Nine people, six different stories with each having their own issues and problems, united by the place it is all happening in - Mumbai, the sprawling metropolis.

But this article isn't about the movie, it's about the brilliant music that Life in a metro offers.

Pritam Chakraborty, along with his team members, christened their band "Band Metro" and were the ones behind this gem of an album. With Pritam as the composer, Soham, Suhail and James as the vocalists and Eric Pillai as the mixing guru this team brought this excellent baby to life.

‘In Dino’, a love track which has the capability of sweeping the die-hard romantics off their feet. It's not a typical mushy number, as it’s slightly on the rock ‘n’ roll side. With Soham Chakraborty's vocals, this one definetly makes you feel things.

'Baatien Kuch Ankahee Si' is a track that has a soothing touch to it. Adnan Sami is the man behind the vocals and he does not fail to make us fall in love with this number.

'O Meri Jaan' which starts with the humorous yet beautiful lyrics "Dil khudgarz hai, phisla hai phir haath se, kal uska raha, ab hai tera... is raat se, o meri jaan.”

'Alvida' rendered by two of the finest artists of our times, our very own K.K. and the singing sensation from Bangladesh, James. K.K. hits the high note so organically in this song, giving us a magnificent number.

'Rishtey' makes a perfect 'walking in a crowd' track with the music and lyrics somehow relatable to anyone who travels by the mumbai local as a daily means of commute. This track gives you the feels of a rainy day journey in the crowd.

The album comes to a close with ‘Kar Salaam’, which is quite a unique number, as it mixes hard rock fusion with Maharashtra folk. It sticks to the album's mellow theme but also brings in a little bit of liveliness.

All in all, the whole album makes a perfect rainy day playlist. This album is sure to creep in through your ears, make way to your heart and stay in your mind forever.
