To All The Game Of Thrones Fans' Out There

I remember when I was in class 12^th, some of my friends were watching GAME OF THRONES. They suggested me to watch it. But at that time, I was focusing on my Board Exams.

So, in the year 2018, I started watching GOT. And the hype was real.

I loved watching it. I will be sharing my views on this series. So, if you are a GOT fan, then you will feel indulged by reading this article.

Why GOT is so much hyped?

GOT is a fantasy drama TV series directed by David Benioff and D.B Weiss. It is an adaptation of George R.R Martin’s series of novels, A Song of Ice and Fire. The whole series revolves around an Iron Throne for which nine noble houses (families) fight with each other in order to sit on the Throne.

The story of this series is different from other TV series. Set in an early fictional time when kingdoms were ruled by kings and queens, GOT takes you to a place where throne is more important than the family. George R.R Martin’s work has been so perfectly translated to a TV series for which the writers and directors are to be praised.

The biggest achievement is to work with such a large ensemble cast that had put in all the efforts to make GOT a Television-history. From the cast, to the costumes, the visual-effects and to the make-up, everything seems so impeccable.

Although it is a fantasy but the fictional world of Seven Kingdoms has been so amazingly thought through that everything we watch, seems real. And the ensemble cast has given life to the Martin’s work. Not only the main leads like Jon, Tyrion, Emilia, Arya, Sansa made it tempting but the credit goes to the entire cast (all the characters in the show).

GOT : SEASONS 1-7

The journey commenced in 2011 when the first season of GOT was premiered. It was a hit as the viewers were astonished to see this level of content. Apart from the cast and storyline, the visual-effects and the set was intimidating.

We can say that every episode is full of climax as no one knows what would come next. At one point, when we thought that “Ohh, he (some character) will definitely be the King in the North. And then we saw his head being chopped off.” Not only this, there were many surprises in every season which made us dumbstruck.

Apart from this, some characters made their presence being felt with their acting and dialogue delievery.

The whole cast of GOT has succeeded in showing inner conflicts of their characters which were widely and critically acclaimed. Every artist has done justice to their characters.

The swords, armour, kingdoms, dragons, wars and everything that completed GOT was accepted by its viewers because of the beautiful direction & screenplay. When there were dragons flying in the sky or heads being chopped off with the swords or humans killed by their ancient enemy whom everyone presumed to be dead thousand of years ago; all such things fascinates us as we are watching a fantasy show.

There were some dialogues in the show which got people’s attention:

·If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention. – Ramsay Snow

·Any fool with a bit of luck can find himself born into power. But earning it for yourself , that takes work. – Lord Varys

GOT : SEASON 8

After a gap of 2 years, the last season was aired in April, 2019. Everyone was excited as to what will happen next, who will sit on the Iron Throne. People were expecting a lot as it took the makers nearly 2 years to make the final season.

But the fans were very disappointed with the ending including me. The fans waited for two years and to their surprise, they see that the one who was one of the true heir to the throne had an awful & unexpected death. And the one which was nowhere near to the throne, was made the Ruler of the Seven Kingdoms.

We didn't wait for 2 years to see this! But some characters had a good ending. I liked Arya Stark and Tyrion Lannister's ending.

Despite of all this, GAME OF THRONES is full of entertainment and surprises. After all, it's GOT guys!
