As a manga and graphic novel enthusiast, I've always enjoyed the flexibility when it comes to animation that is seemingly missing in TV shows, movies, even superhero flicks. I mean, Superman's power doesn't seem to be anywhere near the level of Saitama, but then again the latter exists as a parody for heroes like Goku, and so on. In this article, i'll bring forth some interesting shows for you to feast your eyes on. Trust me, you'll have no regrets. In fact, you would be hooked on to anime for the rest of your life.

  • Hajime no Ippo/ Fighting Spirit:

  • This popular shounen anime features a protagonist by the name of Makunouchi Ippo, a timid man who works tirelessly to support his ailing mother at the docks and decides to take up the sport of boxing when he witnesses another man save him from bullies via the use of his fast fists. Overcoming challenges seem to be the only goal in the mind of Ippo, and his band of awkawardly fighters, with the heavyweight champion Takamura and his lackeys Kimura and Aoki.

  • Cowboy Bebop:

  • A classic which dawned during the final years of the 20th century, this work of Shinichiro Watanabe features hand-drawn animation which depicts a dystopian world where our protagonist, a bounty hunter who goes by the name of Spike and has to frequently remain hungry due to lack of funds, defeats all sorts of opponents , including the devil and his very own arch-nemesis.

  • Psycho-Pass:

  • This is a recent anime show, yet it deserves to be on this list because the story is original and breathtaking. Set in futuristic Japan, where the Artificial Intelligence system Sibyl monitors and rules over citizens, classifying people as normal or latent criminals; the latter get hunted down and can choose to either spend the rest of their lives behind bars or as part of the system working as an Enforcer with the law.

  • Haikyuu:

  • Nothing will make you want to play volleyball and believe in actual teamwork more than this phenomenal work of art. All the characters are fabulously crafted, the animation is enthralling and the story is bound to draw in the focus of the viewer to such an extent that he or she would rarely be able to resist the urge of watching the next episode.

  • Black Lagoon:

  • If shounen isn't the genre that you are best suited for, I would recommend going for this show. Comprising of primarily ruthless female gangsters operating on an island which is a haven for thugs and criminals all over the world, this show features a character, an ex-assassin who literally bites through a bayonet in a gorgeous fight sequence and a ton more memorable moments.

Honestly i have watched a few anime only but Black Lagoon is in my watched list. however my best was undoubtedly Death Note. Sad to not find it in your list. If black lagoon is breathtaking enough then death note certainly should have been. The only problem in the series probably was the season 2 where it fails to keep the same enchantment as season 1, still it should fall above black lagoon as a whole . Surely watch the rest in your list though..

It's actually pretty interesting, the way he writes. He gives you the entire summary of the series, without disclosing any details.
