BCCI has said Dhoni need not to remove his gloves having dagger insignia on it. They have already requested to ICC for the same. Earlier, ICC had objection regarding Dhoni 's insignia on his gloves.BCCC's COA Vinod Rai said MS Dhoni didn't violate any ICC rules and regulations as the Balidan Badge doesn't have anything to do with politics, religion and race. It also, doesn't have conflict with ICC 's official sponsors for the tournament. However, ICC only allows manufacturer's original logo on players clothing and accessories. The gloves conflict emerged after India Vs South Africa match when Dhoni was spotted wearing a dagger insignia on his gloves. It symbolizes balidan. It's a paramilitary special badge allowed to wear only to specific personnel as per para military rules.
Dhoni had undergone special para military training and had given a rank in this special force of Indian Army. Dhoni is allowed to wear this badge. But, ICC and BCCI are against each other over this issue. The major concern for ICC is that it's a world Cup and Dhoni is a big icon of cricket in the world. Any wrong decision of ICC might have huge impact on cricket itself. ICC has its own technical and sponsors teams who will look into the matter and will decide what to do next. But for now, the whole country is standing with MS Dhoni over this issue. BCCI is also standing by MS Dhoni. Let's wait and watch who wins?

#DhoniKeepthegloves is already trending on twitter in India. It seems ,this issue has become a nationalistic issue in India. Cricket lovers and Indians feel that it's our pride rather than a normal logo. Dhoni must continue with it as in my opinion if ICC has no objection if after BCCI 's clarification. But, keeping in mind ICC cricket world cup ICC will also not compromise with its policies. If ICC allows Dhoni other countries will also do the same for sure. To stop this, ICC and BCCI should have intervene sensibly understanding the sensitiveness of the matter. Moreover, some media reports claim, this logo doesn't belong to para military forces and Dhoni is wearing this badge which has nothing to do with armed forces. Social media is full of news and reports regarding this issue. It's hard to believe until and unless some formal announcement is made or information is given.
This issue might divert Indian players who will face Australia in next confrontation. This is an important match and BCCI should solve this issue as early as possible to avoid any further conflicts.
