Try, Try Again 

This is perhaps the most inspiring of all adages as it exhorts people to make persistent efforts to achieve the envisaged goals. Those who wish to turn their dreams into reality should try, not just once, twice or thrice but again and again till success is achieved. Success does not come easily. There are often many impediments in the way of success.It requires hard work and persistent efforts to be successful. If you fail once or twice even after making earnest endeavours, it does not mean that the task is beyond your skills and that you should give up and try something else. It only means that you should learn from past failures, redraw your strategies and come with a vengeance so that you do better than before and be successful.

It must be kept in mind that trying again and again does not mean keeping in trying blindly for something despite failing time and again. It is rightly said that doing the same thing again and expecting different results is not determination but foolishness. That failure must not deter us and we should make further attempts if necessary. But that is not the end of the story. Something more is required to turn defeat into victory. First and foremost we need to analyse why we were not successful in our first attempt, what were our major weakness, what were our strengths, what should be done to remove those weaknesses and fortify our strengths. If some changes have taken place since our previous try, these must be kept in mind. These changes can be in the shape of new technology for an engineer, new requirements for an exporter, new syllabus for a student, new policies for an entrepreneur, and changes in people's tastes and preferences for various reasons for a marketing manager. People in the related fields have to take cognizance of these changes before making further attempts to make a mark.

Trying again and again is not only about becoming successful after failing initially. It is also about developing a self - belief that if others can do something why not me. Life itself is not about achieving a thing or two, or making a mark in something once or twice. It requires to be a winner, so that whenever there is a failure or partial success, one should be capable of and determined to make amends and come out victorious.

If you gave up after failing once or twice, and others who also failed like you but tried and succeeded in achieving something there will be a double disappointment for you, one for having failed, and the other for not trying again. You will regret on two accounts. Those who try again and again, are often rewarded with success sooner or later. But even if they do not succeed in reaching a milestone, they will not regret for not having tried. So, once or twice you may fail, try again and again, and you may prevail.
