Things To Know Before You Get Inked.

Now everyone at some point of their life, and seeing I just got mine a few months ago I feel completely able to tell you a few things before you get yours.

1. Think before you ink
As much as getting inked is great, you don't want to get something you're gonna lose interest in after a week. Make sure you know what you want and where you want it to be. A great tattoo with bad placement will ruin its appearance. If you're going to get a sentence, or something written in another language make sure you have the correct spellings and grammer. Do not Google translate that shit or you gonna end up with something else.

2. It doesn't hurt that much
Before getting the tattoo the only thing I was worried about was the pain. Honestly, it doesn't hurt that much, depending on the place and the tattoo's size it does vary but it's not unbearable.

3. Make sure the instruments are clean
Research your place before getting inked. Make sure it's a clean place which keeps its tools clean and make sure the person inking you changes the needle before starting on you.

4. Stay hydrated
Make sure you've had plenty of water before getting your tattoo, even though getting a tattoo doesn't hurt that much, it does take a toll on your body and you do tend to get a but dehydrated after the process.

5. Keep it covered
Yes, you will want to flaunt your new tattoo the second you get it but you need to understand that it is a wound and you need to let it heal. Exposing it will only cause it to get infected and you don't want that. You will need to cover it for atleast a day depending on the size and put the ointment given twice a day. Also avoid water getting in your tattoo as that can cause problems as well.
