The Value Of A Smile. It costs nothing, but creates much. It enriches those who receive, without impoverishing those who give.
Smile has always been compared to a beautiful poem. The magic of this simple thing has been apparent to all of us. When we see a smiling face like that of a child we feel happy. When we see a grumpy face we want that face to be thrashed!
A smile is cheer to you and me
The cost is nothing - it's given free
It comforts the weary - gladdens the sad
Consoles those in trouble - good or bad
To rich and poor - beggar or thief
It's free to all of any belief.
A natural gesture of young and old
Cheers on the faint - disarms the bold
Unlike most blessings for which we pray
It's one thing we keep when we give it away.-ANONYMOUS
Now the question is: is smile a desire? Absolutely not. It's our basic need. Our very nature is happiness and a happy face has a smile. The only reason we forgot to smile is because we forgot to smile! So what you have to do? Smile more often. Then it will become a habit. Happiness is a habit.
The only inspiration for a genuine smile is a child. Why he smiles? Because there's no reason not to smile!
Learn from children. They are great teacher. The beauty in their smile is divine. They don't desire anything from you in return and that's why their smile is so pure, so serine.
When I go to park I see their children playing with each other. They laugh unnecessarily. There is no reason. Sometime I feel frustrated. But then realise this is the reason they are so happy. I will never loose that child in me and I pray same for you, reader.
