Motorola on 13^th November 2019 announced the launch of its new version of Motorola Razr. Since then it has made an impact on the market. The phone is priced at $1500 (USD) and competes with phones like Samsung Galaxy Fold, and Huawei Mate X with flexible screen. Though Motorola hasn’t announced the price of the device in India it is expected to be around $1499 (1,06,000 INR) which is same as the price in the US. The price will be less than Samsung galaxy fold that is priced at $1980 (roughly 1,40,000 INR).

Now, lets talk about some features of the device.

·       BATTERY CAPACITY – 2510 mAh (Supports 15W Fast charging.)

·       OPERATING SYSTEM – Android 9.0 pie.

·       CONNECTIVITY – 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, and USB Type-C port.

·       RESOLUTION – 876 x 2142 pixels.

·       RAM – 6GB.

·       PROCESSOR – Qualcomm Snapdragon 710.

·       STORAGE – 128GB.

·       FRONT CAMERA – 5-megapixel

·       REAR CAMERA – 16-megapixel f/1.7 lens that can be used to take selfies in folded state.

·       FINGERPRINT – Available, can be accessed both in folded and unfolded states.

·       OTHER – While in the folded state, due to the ‘Quick View’ feature the user can take selfies, see notifications, control the music playback and much more.

Motorola’s Razr was launched on 13^th November 2019 and pre-order was supposed to start from 26^th December 2019. Now, the company is delaying the pre-order date due to high demand. There won’t be much delay as we have seen in the case of Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X. But the company hasn’t come up with new date for pre-order. The company is not delaying the date due to technical issues but due to the high demand conditions.

The foldable razr is similar to the design of razr V3 launched in the year 2005, but the new razr V4 runs on Google’s Android Operating System. As the phone has a storage of 128GB, storage shouldn’t be an issue on this device. Considering the price point of view, the company is providing a batter capacity of 2510 mAh which is even lower than Apple’s last year iPhone X which has a battery capacity of 2716 mAh. More conclusions can be drawn out about the device once it has been launched, which we are assuming at the end of January 2020.
