There are four elements of nature present for our deeper understanding of Astrology and many other things in life: Earth, Water, Fire and Air. All four elements speak of certain tendencies about each zodiac sign and simply because it belongs to one of them. They help us understand that there are other ways of dealing with each individual, gives us patience for those who are different from us, and make it clearer why some sings are more compatible than others.

Roughly , Earth will go well with Water, and Fire will go well with Air. This is quite logical if you think about it, as Water gives Earth its fertility and brings us to life, and Air keeps the Fire burning and sparks the light and our power of creation.

THE ELEMENT OF AIR
This is the base element that connects all other elements, even though it might seem less relevant,or invisible as it is. The distance from the nature of Earth lifts one up high, in impractical and mental planes that don’t fulfill our physical needs. Still, this is the element that is found in all others, it keeps the fire going just like the Sun burns hydrogen. One may say that the beginning of life wouldn’t be possible without Fire, but there would be no Fire on our planet without Air. The element of Air gives one a room to breathe, widens our lungs, and with them, opens our Soul to personal freedom. All signs that belong to in this bracket have a strong need to feel liberated and free.

The Air Signs: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius
Air signs are all more about action, ideas, and motion—they are known to be the “winds of change.” When a strong gust hits them, they can’t help but move. While some within their ranks may be true-life “airheads,”whereas others are as powerful as a gravity-defying G-force. Air signs bring everyone a breath of fresh air whenever things start to get stale. Like the breeze, theycan’t quite catch them, and they never know where they’ll drop you once they sweep you up. It will almost always been an adventure, though.

THE ELEMENT OF FIRE
When talking about the element of Fire, one has to keep in mind that this is the only element that shines. Water can sparkle, that’s true, but only when it reflects the light created by Fire, whether a campfire or the Sun as an enormous fiery celestial body. This is the only element that represents energy itself, and though there is a lot of earthly energy in the element of Water, they cannot be compared with the amount of energy that lives in the Sun, even though they might be equally important in the human race.

The Fire Signs: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
Similarly, as fire itself, fire signs tend to be passionate, dynamic, and temperamental. Fire can keep you warm, or sometimes can do great destruction. As fire burns out quickly without fuel to keep it going, it can also regenerate its power from the ashes. the way a single spark can set off a forest fire. As an advice, fire signs need to be nurtured and managed carefully.

THE ELEMENT OF WATER
This is the element is all about the constant movement, but are slow and steady, they swirl inside each of us and hold on to its mystery. This element is of conception and death, of illusions and fairy tales, holding the secret to our Soul - its beginning and its end.In the element of Water one can literally deal with matters of life and death, of their genetic inheritance and all of their ancestors. Strangely, this is also known to be the element of emotion.

The WaterSigns:Cancer, Scorpio Pisces

THE ELEMENT OF EARTH
The element of Earth is the sole purpose of all elements, since they represent a basis for each of them, for our existence, and something we all want to accomplish – materialization of our desires. They are somewhat complicated element because it is stiff and unmovable, especially when a person has a lot of planets in it, but not enough of them in the element of Air to balance it out. This is the element of our planet and got its name after it too.

The EarthSigns:Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
Earth signs generslly keep it all real. They are the most “grounded” people present on the planet, the ones who bring us down to earth and remind us to start with a solid foundation. Slow and steady. They are known to be the “builders” are loyal and stable, and stick by their people through hard times. On good days, they’re practical; and at worst, they can be materialistic or too focused on the surface of things to dig into the depths.
