The embers burn
On what sweet pace!
I've always been the one
To easily replace.
Tired eyes , dry lips
From the familiar pang.
In the heart, it digs:
Your venomous fang.
I'm tired of running
All this while.
It's sad but it's stunning
How every touch was futile.
The curl of your lips
Is someone else's now.
I'm just a bad dream
You'll forget somehow.
Protecting a territory
That's not mine.
I'm writing a story
That ends in two lines.
Your tears I saw them,
I heard you crying.
You're a familiar flame,
Where I keep on dying.
Two eternities gone,
How many more?
The embers still burn,
Somewhere in the core.
