Oh no, these stilettos won’t do the job, I need a pair of wedges to match my outfit. I guess I have to go shopping now. This could be one of situations that you might have come across one time or the other and the word shopping literally just lights up your world, doesn’t it?

Shopping, an activity where a person goes around the shops, looking at the goodies displayed by the retailers and buying any that seems to grab your interest. Like the quote from the movie, ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic’, “When I shop the world gets better, the world is better; and then it’s not anymore and I have to do it again”, going on a shopping spree does make you feel lighter and also lifts up your mood.

Shopping, though it may sound like a stressful thing to do, but believe it or not it is relatively a good exercise for your body from all that walking around the malls and stores. It also reduces your stress levels and helps you relax, like image yourself standing in front of a shoe store, where pairs of them are lined and decked up, making it look like a wonderful display. This arrangement and orderliness can bring you sense of calming effect to you brain.

Shopping could also be that me-time one could use after what they’ve been craving to do after having a really long day. Walking down the store aisles would give you some time to ponder over your thoughts and actions. Shopping is done not only just for need, but for other things too, like how new relationships could be built over a rack of dresses and a pair of shoes. Going shopping builds a wall of trust and bonding can take place over broken relationships sometimes.

There’s also this one person every retailer comes across, ‘The Bargain Hunter’.This person is known to be the most intimidating customer of them all. They happen to hawk over the items that they might have landed their eyes on as soon as they walk in to the stores. They haggle over the prices and after a long time disagreeing, they finally get what they want. This gives them a sense of satisfaction and a feeling of triumph over this little world. One might call you a shopaholic from that spree you’ve done in a day, but don’t let people label you for what you are because they don’t really know who you actually are in the inside. So I guess we need to go back to buying those wedges for the dress right?
