Locked Inside

When the world was sitting horrified,

you crept into my mind.

Watching tv, eating popcorn,

outside I heard blaring horns,

but I knew I couldn’t break the norm.

Oh! darn

ringing bells and plates all around,

felt lonely in birthday bashes,

you typed in my mind dots and slashes.

But now I say you goodbye,

because you are just a mind-numbing lie.
