Not all of us have the amenity of visiting a gym daily or hiring a personal trainer to look after our fitness. Some of us don’t have the time, some don’t have the money and some, don’t just believe in the concept of gymming. But in the era of junk food that we live, which is now available at our fingertips, literally (thanks to Swiggy) it is absolutely crucial that we spend at least 30 mins daily to look into our fitness. It doesn’t have to be heavy lifting and military training, but something which gets our heart rate up and helps us achieve a fitter body (if not leaner) and a healthy mind. For all those couch potatoes, like me, who don't like to hit the gym, here is a list of exercise apps.

1) Cure.Fit

Cure.Fit description reads as "a health and fitness powerhouse that takes a holistic approach to physical and mental well-being." An endeavour by the Cult.Fit gyms, Cure.Fit creates do it along videos whereby the trainer instructs and does the exercises in real time and all the users have to do is go along with it. The app has a series of free exercises aimed for different problematic areas or just for the overall well-being of the body.

2) Nike Training Club

A marvellous attempt by Nike to create a fitter generation. Its like your ultimate personal trainer. It has a range of 185+ free workouts that will help you, challenge you and make you healthier in the long run. The exercises vary from strength to endurance, from mobility to yoga and features Nike master trainers in every drill. Nike Training Club is undoubtedly your step forward towards achieving your dream body.

3) 30 Day Fitness Challenge

This one is for the ones who can’t do anything for too long. Exercise is definitely a very elusive habit to be adapted into a lifestyle and it tends to become one of the more ignored things in due time. 30 Day Challenge provides it users with a certain goal to be achieved in a given time frame, which helps them achieve it better. The app has a number of 30day challenges which the user can undertake and these 30days come with alternating light workout, heavy workout and rest days. Designed by professional fitness coaches, 30 Day Fitness Challenge helps improve fitness and health scientifically.

4) Pedometer

Walking is one of the most easiest, and the most effective exercise in losing weight and maintaining a healthy body. Doctors advise 10,000 steps to be covered daily, for completing your daily quota of workout. Don’t have a smart watch that records every step you go? Don’t worry, Pedometer has got you covered. Pedometer records the number of steps you have walked and displays them again along with the number of calories that you have burned. Once you push the Start button, all you have to do is hold your smartphone and walk, and it will continue to record even if you put it in your pocket or bag.

5) Freeletics

One of the most downloaded exercise apps, Freeletics allows users to workout hassle-free at the convenience of their homes. You can lose weight, get strong or just improve your fitness level with this app. It has hundreds of bodyweight and HIIT( High Intensity Interval Training) workouts for you to choose from, which when adapted results in a better lifestyle.

There are loads of other exercise apps to choose from, but none of it is going to work if you don’t get up and decide to make a change for yourself. This list is an attempt to remove the first stumbling block in achieving a better body, which is expenses. Comment if this was helpful for you and if you would like me to cover more topics in the same line. Thanks for reading.
