Sounds like music, goes with musing, varies with taste and perception, is sometimes amusing, and there's a lot of it, like a huge lot and it has changed and will continue to change with time - all of this - that's music in a nutshell. Music is an art form and cultural activity whose medium is sound organized in time. General definitions of music include common elements such as pitch, rhythm, dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. Different styles or types of music may emphasize, de-emphasize or omit some of these elements. Music is performed with a vast range of instruments and vocal techniques ranging from singing to rapping; there are solely instrumental pieces, solely vocal pieces (such as songs without instrumental accompaniment) and pieces that combine singing and instruments. The word derives from Greek μουσική (mousike; "art of the Muses").

The origin of music itself is very difficult to determine because in all probability, it is likely to have begun with singing and clapping or beating the hands on different surfaces, for which there is no of course no archaeological record. However, between at least 60,000 and 30,000 years ago, ancient humans experienced a type of ‘cultural explosion’ – they started creating art in the form of paintings on cave walls, jewellery and ornaments, and to bury their dead ceremonially. If we assume that these new forms of behaviour reflect the emergence of intentionality, then music as we know it must also have emerged at least during this period.

Music is a fundamental part of our evolution; we probably sang before we spoke in syntactically guided sentences. Music is strongly linked to motivation and to human social contact. Only a portion of people may play music, but all can, and do, at least sing or hum a tune. Music is like breathing—all pervasive.

During the 1970/80s, music taste really differed between people. Many political conflicts had been taking place and the release of many graphic photos from war spurred the peace movement. The peace movement is now often referred to as "hippies". The fashion style became extremely out-there and crazy. Synthesizers were heavily used to create groovy and almost psychedelic tracks. Other tastes in music often leaned into the side of rock and heavy metal. This became the age where many harsh overdrive and distortion settings were used. Bands such as Queen and AC/DC were highly enjoyed. And now we end up to modern period music. In the late 1990s and Early 2000s, R n B music and rap was created as a way of expressing ones self. Vanilla Ice and Eminem are prime examples.
