The Heroine Feeling: Xinmo

The sun shone fiercely, burning up her face yet with the cool morning breeze it felt relieving. Her loose hairs near the ears were fluttering like the sea wave; she liked the feeling as if she is the only one in the world. Tadah! She WAS the only one. She was late for school and what’s unbelievable is that her home is just 5 minutes away by walk.

Usually, she would be in time for the morning social work SUPW, if not earlier. The laziest person who could sleep even after 13 hours of sleep, Chadxinmo could win a Genius record. Like always she woke up exactly at 7:50 am and she needs to be in school by 8:10 am. She never showered in the morning; those miscellaneous were left for the evening boredom. But that day she felt like a movie heroine and went straight for the shower.

So much of heroine feeling and she was in her slow-mo things, no care in the world of what everyone at home is saying. On the other hand her family were on havoc scolding and chasing her, telling her to run to school. She left with her parents, they for office and she to school.

When she peeked from the corner of the wall that divides her house and the school ground, the assembly had already started.

It would be insane to go now, so she waited seating on the rock of one of the school gardens letting all those species of life go to their classes.

Everyone has already left and she was still into the heroine feels. Walking and singing as the bathroom singer she is, humming to “Losing my mind” by Lee Seung Gi she looked around for teachers. Finding no one she continued,

“Jeongsini nagass-eonabwa geuttaen. Naega eotteohge neoleul tteonaga. Neomaneul saranghae jeongmal mianhae. Nunmulman heulleonaelyeo”

Though the meaning of the song meant,

“I think I lost my mind at that time, how could I leave you. I only love you, I am really sorry. I could only cry now”. It had nothing to do with Chadxinmo.

The song was one of the popular OST of a Korean drama, and hell who cares for the deeper meaning; singing and moving to the song was an awesome feeling. Safely making it to the class without the teacher finding out, she ended the journey to her class with, “Go Go Be Be”. If she was caught, it would have been a disaster being a Captain and all.

Lucky her, no one caught her; if it was someone else the scene would be so dangerous. Getting late to school was not fun after seeing how you get punished and the embarrassment of standing in the class with the teacher shouting was marvellous.

The moment she took her seats and took her books out the teacher entered, looked at her and said, “Xinmo, where were you during the SUPW and the assembly?”

“Ahh!!! Here it comes” came her internal self shouting.
“Sir, I was not feeling well so I had gone to the health room to rest for a while,” said Chadxinmo with an innocent sick looking face.

Voila! The teacher believed it. You don’t expect a top student to lie, do you? Internally smiling she took her seat, “I am good at this” the evil grin.

Today was really the day Xinmo got to be the heroine of her life.
