Ambient Intelligenceis one of the famous Intelligencewe are discussing in it, It means when you went to your home, the door will be greets you and Lights will be switch on automatically and It also check the status of your body-temperature, whether you are feeling warm or cool, automatically it makes the cool or warm by using A/c or Heaters ,this is known as Ambient Intelligence.

Intelligence:The ability to acquire the information from various sources and apply knowledge and skills.

Brief explanation about Ambient Intelligence :

Ambient Intelligence refers to the electronic environment that issensitive and responsiveto the presence of people, the members surrounding you either your friends, families, and relatives always connect with you , the things which are present in yoursurroundings that are also connectwith you each other like adigital environmentby using this Ambient Intelligence, the type of environment is very sensitive,adaptive and responsiveto your needs, habits, gestures, and emotions.

History of Ambient Intelligence :

1)Ambient Intelligence (AmI) was introduced byPhilipsResearch in the year 1998
2)The name AmI was invented byEli ZelkhaandBrian Epstien
3)It was taken up by the ISTAG in 2001
4)In 2004, thefirst European symposiumon AmI (EUSAI) was held

Technologies involved in AmI :
They are three types of technology involved in the AmI

1)Ubiquitous computing
2)Ubiquitous communication
3)Intelligence user interface(IUI)

1)Ubiquitous computing:

Ubiquitous computing means theintegration of the microprocessorinto everyday objects like furniture, toys or clothes etc and also it can enable wireless application, including monitoring of pets and houseplants, operation of appliances, keeping track of books and bicycle and much more.

Microprocessor: It can do anytask simultaneouslyat a specificperiod of time, Moreover we can say it an integrated circuit that contains all the functions of a central processing unit of a computer.

Example: Smartphones, Laptops etc.

2)Ubiquitous communication:

Ubiquitous communication can enable theobjects to communicatewitheach otherand with theuser.

3)Intelligence user interface:

An intelligence user interface enables the inhabitants of the AmI to control and interact with the environment in anatural and personalized way. Moreover, we can express in another way as, it is anhuman-machine interfacethat aims to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and naturalness of human-machine interaction by representing, reasoning, and acting on models of the user, domain, task, media (e.g., graphics, natural language, gestures, emotions).

Architecture of AmI:

Advantages:

1)Underground station equipped with location sensors to track the location in real-time.
2)Smart homes
3)In the Hospital room, where a patient is monitored for health and security reasons Sensing and Monitoring

4)Public Surveillance.
Disadvantages:

1)Need high finance to install and maintain the environment.
2)Wireless sensors are at the mercy of the battery life for the sensors.

Conclusion:

AmI is a new way ininformation technologyit has high impact infuturedue too ,The people who are surrounded bydifferent objects it can convert into the intelligenceby embedded with smarthardware systems by using different software especially, these types we are using inIOT(Internet of Things) purposes, these can sense the context and respond according to the desire people.
