The Crown Must Win

The story of Kings and queens of England is fascinating as it begins with early monarch who were tribal warlords and moves down through the centuries to the present day and the court of Queen Elizabeth II. It is the story of lust, persecution and flattering but remitting progress.

6th February 1952 princess Elizabeth became Queen Elizabeth II as she perched on the branches of a tree. she was at treetop hotel at Kenya, peering intently on the wildlife enjoying the waterhole below, quite unaware that thousand miles away in North sometime in the early hours of the dark morning her father King George vi has passed away. king George vi was only 56 years old when he died due to his continuous serious illness.He had been under stress for past three years of his life.

In the autumn of 1950's,his tomography report showed that he had a shadow of tumor in his right lung,following November his right lung was removed.

His widow, Queen Elizabeth always believed that the stress of his job had killed him. As the Second Son of George v and Queen Mary, he had not been in the line to be the king and his elder brother Edward viii has been abdicated he would not have have the position forced upon him. If that had not happened then George vi wouldn't have died at search in early age , and his daughter Elizabeth wouldn't have become Queen Elizabeth II.

Elizabeth was born in London as the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and she was educated privately at home.

Queen Elizabeth II has reigned longer than any Monarch in England, during that time many ups and downs were bought a long life could bring in. she was Jewel in the Crown duringand after the Second World War in the difficult Times when the world faced the precarious future. She has since served the role model for the generations of men and women who were inawe of her commitment to service, sacrifice, and the Commonwealth of the Nations over which she rules.

A shy and reserved child she grew into wise and insightful monarch who has dealt ably with 13 Prime Ministers and 13 US President over the time she reigned.

Elizabeth met her future husband, Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark, in 1934 and 1937. They are second cousins once removed through King Christian IX of Denmark and third cousins through Queen Victoria. After another meeting at the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth in July 1939, Elizabeth—though only 13 years old—said she fell in love with Philip, and they began to exchange letters. She was 21 when their engagement was officially announced on 9 July 1947.

Before the marriage, Philip renounced his Greek and Danish titles, officially converted from Greek Orthodoxy to Anglicanism, and adopted the style Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten, taking the surname of his mother's British family. Just before the wedding, he was created Duke of Edinburgh and granted the style His Royal Highness.

Elizabeth gave birth to her first child, Prince Charles, on 14 November 1948. One month earlier, the King had issued letters patent allowing her children to use the style and title of a royal prince or princess, to which they otherwise would not have been entitled as their father was no longer a royal prince.A second child, Princess Anne, was born in 1950.

The Queen carries out all of her duties against the backdrop of a full personal life which has seen her raise four children and welcome grandchildren, and now great-grandchildren to the Royal Family. The Duke of Edinburgh has been – in her own words – her ‘strength and stay’ during her reign, whilst other members of the Royal Family continue to offer vital support through their work in the UK and overseas.
